Summer Stripes

Hello ladies!

The drive to my hometown is extremely short from Tallahassee and since I am queen of comfort, I wanted to make sure I stayed in that comfort zone. 

I found this dress cleaning out my closet a couple of weeks ago, so for a drive home, this was a perfect opportunity to wear it.  The dress didn't come with a belt however, the reason I belted it is to make my waist look smaller.  I decided to add the pink/blue striped scarf because it looked like a fun addition to my outfit!  

For my hair style, I decided on doing a sock bun!  For a quick tutorial, head to this link, and it so easy to do!

Since I am back in Tallahassee after an exciting, fun weekend at home, I am going to give you a fast update with my instagram pictures!

The weekend turned out fabulous!  I got to see my family, eat lots of great food, help my sister get ready for prom, & do some shopping with my Momma! I also got some good napping time in which is always a plus!

LBD + Blazer

Happy Friday ladies! 

During my busy day of packing, cleaning, & laundry yesterday, I managed to put together a comfy yet casual outfit for work.  

I am a large fan of my LBD (little black dress).  I found it at Goodwill for $7 bucks and it is from Ann Taylor.  I have worn it underneath a blouse & I wore it for one of my best friends, Mary - Hannah's bachelorette party.  Thrift shopping can be a great success or a waste of time.  Usually when I thrift shop, I like to have an open mind and plenty of time to waste.  It is crazy at what you can find at thrift stores.       

I thought about wearing my bright blue necklace with this outfit but I chose my orange necklace because I liked the bohemian vibe of my outfit.

A Wedding Affair

At the end of March, one of my best friends got married to her best friend!  I am so excited that I was able to be apart of one of Mary-Hannah's biggest days.  They got married at their church in Green Cove Springs and had their reception in a nearby radio hall! The wedding was gorgeous and the reception ended up looking like it came straight off pinterest.  The color scheme she went with was gray & yellow.  Everything turned out beautiful, and even though there were tears, (from all the bridesmaids) they were happy tears :)
