Blazers in the Summertime

Happy Friday ladies!! 

For the past week, Tallahassee has been HOT.  The weather on Monday hit around 92 degrees and it has only cooled down a couple of degrees throughout the week.  So instead of dressing in a tee shirt to work (like I always do), I decided to dress up my black tank with an old blazer I found in my closet.   

The blazer is perfect for this weather since it is 100% Linen, however I had a problem with the wrinkles.  The iron and I had a pretty hard battle but I think I conquered all the wrinkles in the blazer. 

I paired this lightweight blazer with my favorite pair of cropped pants from Loft.  Cropped pants have never been a necessity of mine but ever since I tried the Curvy fit, I have fallen in love with them!     

 

I found this cute bird necklace from Target yesterday, when I went in for a new planner.. I came out with a new necklace & earrings plus the planner.  But anyways, that is a whole different story.  The earrings & necklace were in a pack together for only $4.99, so if you are in love with this, I would definitely go pick it up!  It's definitely a steal.

Duvet Cover Problems

Since I will be graduating in the fall, I am moving out of the college apartment style living and moving into a big girl house with an old friend.  With this being said, I am looking for new duvet covers for my new room.  I want my room to feel like an escape from the world.  I want it to feel comfortable, look elegant, and be clean.  I am not sure I can manage to incorporate all three of these goals but I am going to try! 

Here are my choices so far! Which one do ya'll like best?

I am a fan of the color yellow in a bedroom because it makes your bedroom look clean and neat.  When I lived with my parents, I had a red toile duvet cover and I loved it.  If I choose this duvet cover, I would accessorize my room in dark shades of red and a camel color.  

With this blue duvet cover, I would accessorize with red and white. 

Now, who wouldn't want this fun loving duvet cover in their room.  All of these colors remind me of spring/summer time.  If I choose this duvet cover, I would let the focus be the cover and do simple accessories, like neutral colors, around my room.  

This duvet cover might be favorite.  I am a fan of stripes and the color green.  If I choose this duvet cover, I would accessorize with pinks and whites.  My one concern if I choose this one is it might look too much of a little girls room?

Daily Outfit Post: Polka Dots Galore

Happy Sunday ladies!

So far today has been quite eventful.  I keep learning new things at work, got to chit chat with my roomie before she went home for the summer, & I got to chat with my sister while we were both watching the basketball playoff games!  

Today's outfit was inspired by comfort.  On Sundays, I like to wear an outfit that I could curl up on the couch and nap in.  This outfit has definitely been it and I plan on napping shortly!

I have a large obsession with pearls.  If I can choose, I want to wear my pearls with every single outfit.  They definitely hold some awesome memories from the past 5 years.   

My entire outfit is from Loft.  The maroon colored scoop neck tee has to be my favorite tee shirt of all times.  I plan on purchasing every single color because they are the perfect staple item!

Inspirational Ladies: Reese Witherspoon

As I mentioned in my Style Q & A, I have a major girl crush on Reese Witherspoon! Since watching Sweet Home Alabama as an 11 year old, I have fallen for her, her style, & her values.  She is an amazing woman, mom, & actress.  Plus, she is from the South!
