Daily Outfit Post: Orange Giraffe Prints

Happy Friday the 13th ladies!

Today was an extremely awesome day for me, even though it was "suppose" to be unlucky!  I found the perfect outfit while looking through my closet this morning.  Whenever I went home last weekend to visit my family, my mom wanted to get rid of some of her older dresses, so of course I scooped them up! I took 3 good dresses that will definitely get their wear.

My favorite dress is the one I decided to wear today to work! It got so many compliments so I knew I had put together an awesome outfit, which is always good to hear!

My Outfit:
Giraffe Print Dress: Loft, couple of years old
Denim Jacket: Gap Outlet
Belt: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Target

This outfit has 3 of my favorite all time pieces: Denim Jacket, Belt, & Shoes.  These three pieces can be worn many different ways so as a reader you might be seeing them a good bit in posts!  I don't know if you would still be able to find them in stores because I have had all three of these pieces for about 3 years now.

Do you have any favorite pieces that you tend to wear multiple times?  If so, let me know!

Opening Day!

Guess what ladies..

It's Opening Day for the Atlanta Braves!

As a three month old girl, my parents took me there for my first vacation! Ever since then, I have loved going to sporting events, especially baseball games.  Singing take my out to the ball park, hearing the cracks of the baseball bats, & seeing cute guys in baseball pants; what more can you ask for?!

Dressing for baseball games are simple: You need the color scheme for the baseball team you are going to visit.  Then I would check the weather to see how that is going to factor into the game.

For Braves game, I would suggest wearing a pair of denim shorts, a dressy top, sandals, & cute jewelry.  Games usually get hot from sitting out in the sun so you don't want to get to dressed up to only feel miserable.  For a Braves game, I would suggest a white top with denim jean shorts.  I would also bring a red or navy colored light weight cardigan and then a pair of red wedges or sandals!

If you are more of a t-shirt girl to baseball games then try a Braves T-shirt then pair them with a white shorts.  I would also bring some top of cardigan just in case of the weather.

Here are a few pictures of me at past Braves Baseball Games!

One of my best friends, Mary-Hannah, is an extremely large Atlanta Braves fan! She once was able to tell you every player, their position, & batting average.  When we went to Atlanta, we went to two games, for the first one I wore gray shorts & a Braves T-Shirt.  Then for our second game, I want to dress up.  I decided on a denim dress that is comfortable!  They were both paired with my favorite pair of tan sandals from Bakers!

Play Ball!!! Don't forget to tune into the Braves game at 7:35 tonight when they take on the Milwaukee Brewers!

Go BRAVES!!

Hair - ology

Good morning/afternoon!

For the past 21 years of my life, I have never been a hair person.  I only know how to use a hairdryer and a straighter.  I have made some bad hair mistakes (see perm, super short cut, & dyed my hair BLACK) plus many more horrendous hair styles.

However, since the invention of the hair wand, I have been using it a lot more.  The wand I purchased is from Target, and can be found at this link.  It has to be the easiest thing to use!  I am also a big fan of The Beauty Department, created by Lauren Conrad & her friends.  This website is very helpful for ladies who aren't as good with their hair, makeup, and nails, which includes me!

This video helped me this morning while I fixed my hair and I greatly recommend it!

Here is the outcome of my hair:

Later on tonight, I will post the details to my outfit

Does anyone have any hair tutorials they want to share or any special tricks of the trade to help this lady who needs help, like favorite products?

Daily Outfit Post: leopard print & green pants

Hey ya'll!

This morning was difficult to figure out what to put on from my closet!  I had class & work so I wanted to wear clothes that were comfortable to walk across campus in but yet dressy enough for work!  I decided to go with my green pants & a leopard print top.  It was definitely a fun outfit to wear to work, I got plenty of compliments on it because of the green pants that made the entire outfit pop!  Finding pieces of clothing that make your entire outfit pop, are fun because they are easy to wear with multiple outfits!

My Outfit:
Modern Straight Green Pants from Loft
Black V-Neck T shirt from Gap
Leopard print Cardigan from Banana Republic
Nude Heels from Target

Do you have any pieces of merchandise that you wear that make your outfit POP? If so, let me know

Inspirational Ladies: Reese Witherspoon

As I mentioned in my Style Q & A, I have a major girl crush on Reese Witherspoon! Since watching Sweet Home Alabama as an 11 year old, I have fallen for her, her style, & her values.  She is an amazing woman, mom, & actress.  Plus, she is from the South!

Here are some of my favorite styles she has worn and why she is one of my inspirations.

This girl can wear a striped t-shirt & jeans with a pony tail and still look fierce!

Black tee & jeans. My kind of style!

A very natural look on the red carpet.

And the main reason she is my favorite.  She played June Carter, a woman after my own heart.

I will leave you with this quote from Reese,
"Many people worry so much about managing their careers, but rarely spend half that much energy managing their LIVES. I want to make my life, not just my job, the best it can be. The rest will work itself out."

Let me know how everyone likes these posts! Later on in the month, I plan on styling a few outfits based on Reese's past outfits.
